We had been wanting to try out LK @ 0% for quite some time now however decided there was no real point as it was assumed that there is no achievement/rewards. Even with this however we decided to give it a shot this week after hearing about Paragon, and yes as expected we managed to do the encounter without using the hellscream buff . We did the fight relatively quickly and finished off on 45/50 attempts left, as you can see the composition wasn’t exactly optimal, using an enhancement shaman vs a frost DK was probably the biggest difference, unfortunately the fight is very unfriendly for enhance due to the lack of cleave abilities.

Since the day of 20% we split our raid into two groups, both with mains and alts in each group to farm ICC in preparation for Halion (we hoped it would be a lot harder than it actually was, and we ended up doing a split raid on the second week just to put pressure on recruits, both groups killed it). We are yet to miss a kill in our split groups and all I can say is that WoTLK is now 100%  cleared for Adept.

We will continue to run our two raids farming LK each week along with Halion and messing around on the Cataclysm Beta, and we are hoping to get a few more players to solidify our roster for Cataclysm *cough* Safari *cough* .

Surprised it took US guilds so long to kill this, and its fortunate Premonition actually got the kill, it would have been an embarrasment to the US raiding scene if a Australian guild managed to kill the most ping intensive encounter in the game, watching the videos of euro’s managing to get a icon and then run out, compared to having to plan and “pre drop” defiles was rather humorous.

We should have got a kill 2 weeks ago but bad play prevented the finishing blow, last week our attempts got griefed so we had to settle for a 15% kill, which is rather dissapointing. With that said here’s a pie chart of our attempts!

Would also like to say a massive gratz to Paragon, I don’t think any guild is as strong as them right now, it’s truly impressive. We wish we could have gotten a higher ranking but I think just about every US guild is having or just overcome troubles with players and recruitment, top it all off with attempts being wasted thanks to Australian internet and a bit of raid hijacking and bam there goes any shot at a higher rank.

To the person who hijacked our instance last week, FUCK YOU, if it was anyone from other US guilds just gotta say that’s really bad sportsmanship. Other than that overall I am happy with our world 10th finish, still the highest ranking any oceanic guild has achieved and we are only going to go further. I really cannot express the way I feel about all you guys, this has been the most fun in WoW that I’ve ever had and I can’t imagine it without you guys .

Also planning to expand Adept into many different games, FPS / Strategy and whatnot so that’s something to look out for in the future.

Monday March 15, Adept goes into ICC 10 man with 6 attempts left after a heartbreaking 15% wipe due to a combination of errors the previous night at 13 attempts left. We missed out on World 3rd due to ‘Emergency Server Shutdown’

We set out confident, ready to kill the Lich King and unfortunately we had another 13% wipe this time with 3 attempts left.

2 Attempts left we had someone get hit by Shadow Trap – eventually leading to a wipe.

Last attempt 1 out of 35 we manage to play absolutely perfect, and we were 80s ahead of the enrage.

Really should have had a kill last week, with a 1% wipe that was mostly due to someone being offline for all of P3. Was pretty disappointing not getting the kill last week – would have been great to get US 1st – but grats to Exodus, and we downed it with few problems this week

Its a pretty hectic & fun fight, so much can go wrong so quickly along with a tight DPS burn at the end. I just wish we could play at the latency that US / EU players get. WTB Oceanic servers.

P.S. We’re always looking for great players – at the moment we’re especially interested in Holy Paladins, Resto Shamans, Resto Druids, Affliction Warlocks, and anyone who is just flat-out amazing.

Heroic: Sindragosa – World 6th, US 2nd, Oceanic 1st

What a fight, so much can go wrong from just a single player error. Honestly thought we’d get it earlier however (as usual) we had issues with people disconnecting, which can really make it hard.

We started up about 10am Server Time (which was basically as soon as the server came online). At this point we’d already heard that vodka had Marrowgar down – but by the end of our raid we’d managed to catch up and are currently sitting at 8/12.  We only have the limited attempt bosses left so we will be playing more cautiously from here and hopefully getting some more kills soon.

Heroic: Blood Queen Lana’thel – World 7th, US 4th, Oceanic 1st

Pretty hectic enrage timer,  leaving no room for error with bites. Unfortunately we wiped once on this encounter due to a lag spike causing a mind control. Came back next attempt, and using the Guido Fist Pump Vortex Hyperdrive Inverted Mega Man Cleave Strat we were able to record a kill . Video from Jabkmoo/Breesy coming soon!

Heroic: Blood Prince Council – World 2nd, US 2nd, Oceanic 1st

Pretty interesting fight, in the normal mode you learn to move a lot… and then in the hard mode theres a new element which requires less movement.

Unfortunately I don’t think we have any fraps however will upload as soon as possible if we do!

Heroic: Valithria Dreamwalker – World 3rd, US 3rd, Oceanic 1st

At this point we had been raiding for quite a while, and while its a pretty easy fight, 250+ms makes picking up the orbs quite a pain. Still, boss down (or up, this case), time to move along!

Heroic: Rotface – World 2nd, US 2nd, Oceanic 1st

Again a fairly easy fight, but we had a very fast wipe on our first attempt (see video below). An actual kill video will be uploaded as soon as possible.

Heroic: Festergut – World 2nd, US 2nd, Oceanic 1st

Pretty easy fight, the only real difficulty is the enrage timer.

Heroic: Deathbringer Saurfang – World 3rd, US 4th, Oceanic 1st

This fight is going to hold a lot of guilds back (unless it gets nerfed), which is good except for the fact that the fight is extremely boring, and reliant on RNG. If Blood Boil stays off your squishier marked targets sub-30%, its fine, but if not…

Heroic: Gunship Battle – World 4th, US 4th, Oceanic 1st

Forgot to fraps, however its no different to normal mode. Quite disappointing – WTF blizzard?

Heroic: Lady Deathwhisper – World 5th, US 5th, Oceanic 1st

Spent quite a bit of time on Lady Deathwhisper. This fight was somewhat similar to M’uru with the addition of add spawns during phase 2. We spent quite a bit of time on this fight, and I can see a lot of guild being stuck here.

Heroic: Lord Marrowgar – World 3rd, US 3rd, Oceanic 1st

Killed on second attempt, was fairly easy fight that just required a bit of communication!

Pretty fun fight, and much more challenging than we thought. After burning through 10 or so attempts on our alts we came in on our mains, and almost one shot it – but thanks to shitty Australian internet + terrible server lag we decided not to waste any more attempts on Sunday night.

We got right back in there today and proceeded to knock the Lich King off his throne with 16/20 attempts left

Really looking forward to the new raiding week with hard modes being released on Wednesday. We’d also would like to make a mention of our friends in Tsunami – really hoping they get their lost attempts restored (their instance bugged out going from 14/20 on Sunday to -6/20 on Monday). Blizzard fix your shit!

We started off cautiously this week, aiming to maximise our attempts on the Lich King. Our approach paid off in spades (the king of spades, even!), as we managed an early 10 man Lich King kill. With a few 10 mans yet to roll out, we’re planning to score a few more kills and set ourselves up nicely for 25 man Lich King attempts later this week.
